United Nations Human Rights Council
The United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) is the principle intergovernmental body within the United Nations. Its aims consist of protecting human rights and discussing human rights violations around the world. The Council develops thematic and specific reports to help expose human rights violators, and brings forward resolutions to set solutions to the issues.

Núria is a Law student at Pompeu Fabra University in Barcelona. Her interests in international law, diplomacy and human rights introduced her to discover the world of MUNs. Since she started university, she has been a delegate in several conferences and also part of the Secretariat as USG Academics of C'MUN and MUNSA 2023. All these experiences have made her learn to debate and negotiate in a multilateral context and she looks forward to welcoming you all to the UNHRC to debate a topic of such importance as the issue of statelessness.

Núria Garcia Anglada
Hi everyone! You can call me Shayan. I am 23 years old, born and raised in Pakistan and currently pursuing my MBA. I first started doing MUNs back in 2013 and since then, I have grown to love the thrill, chaos and constant flow of surprises they bring at every corner. I have chaired conferences based all over the world, winning multiple awards along the way. I chose to chair UNHRC because I believe that the protection of human rights are vital for the survival of humanity itself, for without our humanity, what are we? Some fun facts about me: I'm a Potterhead with a love of football, hiking and art! I'm really looking forward to meeting you all in Maastricht this May!
